Chris Suquilanda
Chris is a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut. He received a bachelor’s degree in Analytics and Information Management with a concentration in IT Security. His interest in technology sparked during his first year at school, when he used applications to fulfill orders for Amazon during the Covid-19 pandemic. He saw how vital technology was in helping people and wanted to pursue a career in IT.
Since then he has pursued various roles in customer service, analytics, and order fullfilment. During his time at UConn, Chris was very involved in the OPIM Innovate Lab and the Latin American Cultural Center. After a year of remote learning his goal was to bring his campus community closer together through events and student organizations. He worked with different groups of students to create spaces on campus where students felt welcomed. He also worked for the Facilities Operations department, where he managed the delivery of equipment for campus renovations. Chris has always aimed to be an active member of his community and is excited to bring this enthusiasm to Yale. He is now part of The Brian J. Wolson Rotational Early Career and Development Program, a rotational program that gives recent college graduates the opportunity to work in three rotations within Yale IT. He is very excited to be joining the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning.
