Geoffrey Canales is the Assistant Director of Disability and Neurodiversity at the Office of Educational Opportunity, a joint effort of the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning and Yale College. In this role, Geoffrey leads the Disability Peer Mentor Program. He also serves as our Learning Specialist, which supports students with more intensive learning needs in the areas of learning skills and executive functions but is also at a nexus of managing other challenges like mental health or conditions. Before joining the team, Geoffrey worked extensively over the past five years in a clinician role working in mental health and with Neurodiverse populations. He received his MSW from Columbia University.
