Ismihan Abdelkadir

Ismihan is from McDonough, Georgia, and graduated from Yale in 2024 with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. While at Yale, Ismihan was committed to supporting the FGLI (First-Generation, Low-Income) community. She worked with the Office of Educational Opportunity (OEO) as a STEM Navigator and FGLI peer mentor, and was a mentor for the STARS I Program, helping URM/FGLI students navigate STEM at Yale. She was also heavily involved with Yale’s QuestBridge Chapter. She is currently working with Yale’s OEO as a Woodbridge Fellow. In this role, she coordinates the STEM Navigator program, which offers mentorship, workshops, and resources for Yale’s STEM-oriented FGLI/URM students.
