Graduate School Student
BS in Physics from Florida State University, MS in Physics and MPhil in Physics from Yale University
Kirsty Scott is a physics PhD candidate in the da Silva Neto Lab in the Department of Physics. She studies unconventional superconductors using a variety of spectroscopic techniques, primarily Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Spectroscopy (STM/S) and Resonant Inelastic X-ray Scattering (RIXS). Kirsty has taught six physics courses as a teaching fellow at Yale and previously worked as a learning assistant for physics courses at Florida State University. She also tutored English through the Student Accessibility Services Office at Indian River State College and high school calculus. Kirsty is passionate about making physics education more accessible and equitable, especially at the foundational level.
