Leah Harmon is a PhD candidate in the Yale Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program. She is a member of Sreeganga Chandra’s lab in the Departments of Neuroscience and Neurology at Yale School of Medicine. Leah studies the molecular and cellular underpinnings of Parkinson’s Disease, specifically at the synapse, using mouse models and patient-derived neurons. She is passionate about neuroscience education and is working to make science more accessible through organizing outreach initiatives such as Yale’s Brain Education Day. She is inspired by the three generations of female educators above her: Mima, Nonna, and Mom.
