Event Description 

Welcome to Yale! New courses, mentors, peer groups, and research projects are on your horizon. Learn about concrete strategies and tools for starting to write early, from what kinds of questions to answer when you are reading, to crafting a template for advising meetings - all before you step foot into your new Zoom classroom! We will also provide a brief introduction to The Graduate Writing Lab’s suite of programs so you can start your year off with resources, support, and writing and communication guidance in your pocket. The last ten minutes will feature current GWL Writing Consultants and Yale graduate students who will offer a few words of welcome.

Intended Audience: Incoming GSAS Master’s Degree and PhD Students across all academic disciplines
