Micah Siegel is a McDougal Graduate Teaching Fellow at the Poorvu Center and a PhD candidate in the Department of English, specializing in late 19th- and early 20th-century fiction. In addition to teaching introductory writing seminars on the mystery genre and the intersection of music and literature, Micah has been a teaching fellow for lectures on political fiction, Gothic literature, and queer modernist writing, as well as the English department’s senior essay class. She is excited to be working with the Poorvu Center this year and looks forward to helping others create equitable, supportive classroom spaces.
