The Yale College Writing Center

Empowering student writers through collaboration and community.

The Yale College Writing Center supports undergraduates during every stage of the writing process, from prewriting to polishing. In addition to 1-1 tutoring, the Center provides helpful handouts and supports community writing events. Whether students are preparing to turn in their first college paper or are revising their senior thesis, the Writing Center aims to empower Yale writers through feedback focused on encouraging students’ growth and confidence.

Residential College Writing Tutors

Schedule an appointment for an in-depth meeting with a professional writing tutor.

Regular meetings with Residential College Writing Tutors are especially recommended for long-term projects, including final papers and senior theses.
