I am Yale Staff

The Poorvu Center is an integrated hub of comprehensive resources for faculty, students, and staff across Yale.  Here, you’ll find a wealth of opportunities to collaborate, engage with students and faculty, and access tools to enrich teaching and learning at Yale.  Whether you need tech support, help with Yale Connect, or guidance with program assessments, we are here for you!

Educational Technology & Media

We are here to support your use of various technology tools for teaching, including classroom recording, Poll Everywhere, the Poorvu Center’s Recording Studio, as well as the technology found in our common spaces and Poorvu Center classrooms.  We partner with Yale’s IT Services, Registrar’s Office, Facilities, and classroom support groups to improve and enhance the classroom technology across the University.

Canvas @ Yale

Canvas @ Yale provides instructors an online space to organize and present their course content, allowing them to create digital learning experiences for their students that support in-person, remote, and even blended course offerings.  Our team is here to help navigate this system and provide technical expertise to all who use it.

Yale Connect

Meet our campus engagement platform!  Powered by Campus Groups, the University uses Yale Connect to promote activities, find and register for on-campus or virutal events, engage with student organizations, and more.  The Poorvu Center is here to help you create events in Yale Connect or answer any questions related to the platform.

Program Assessment

Our Educational Program Assessment (EPA) team provides expertise to Yale staff and faculty in the design, implementation, analysis, and reporting of assessments that explore the impact of teaching and learning programs on campus.  We think about data broadly, considering both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.  Rather than viewing assessment as an isolated process, we see it as an iterative and collaborative effort that informs decision-making, shapes curricula, and enhances learning experiences for students and educators.  We hope to partner with you!
