How We Assess the Poorvu Center’s Impact

As a center focused on improving teaching and learning, the Poorvu Center regularly evaluates its offerings and impact. We use a combination of participant feedback, usage data, and internal reflection to guide our growth and ensure we are meeting the needs of the Yale community.

Feedback Channels

We collect feedback through:

  • Event and program surveys
  • Focus groups and interviews
  • Strategic advisory boards (e.g., faculty and student)
  • External evaluations
  • Annual reporting and review

These feedback mechanisms allow us to understand both how our programs are functioning and how we can adapt them over time.

Continuous Reflection and Improvement

Poorvu Center staff engage in regular reflection on feedback, data, and strategic goals. These conversations guide internal decision-making and ensure that our offerings stay aligned with Yale’s evolving teaching and learning environment.
