As Director of the Undergraduate Writing and Tutoring Team, Alfred Guy oversees 300 student tutors in STEM and writing. He also leads the Poorvu Center’s AI Working Group.
Alfred is especially gratified that more than 50% of Yale College students come for tutoring every year. Since 2004, he has also served as the R.W.B. Lewis Director of Writing and Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs in Yale College. Before Yale, he was a director of writing programs at Princeton, & Johns Hopkins, & New York University where he did his Ph.D. in English.
He spends most of his time outside of work watching Disney shows and going to IT Ropes course with his daughter Lucy, and planning for his next game show appearance.
