Ankita Gumaste, Ph.D. is an assistant director on the Poorvu Centerís Educational Program Assessment team. She helps to implement assessment and evaluation processes for programs led or supported by the Poorvu Center. This includes contributing to the creation of assessment tools, as well as analysis and reporting of data related to projects targeting teaching and learning initiatives across the institution. Ankita is interested in highlighting equitable, actionable, and reflective assessment design with the mission of improving studentsí educational experiences. She has been at Yale since 2016.
Ankita holds a BS in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University and received her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Yale in 2022, where she focused on researching neural computations influencing odor processing. During her time in graduate school, Ankita was committed to supporting student learning through teaching and outreach efforts.
Outside of work, Ankita likes to hike, cook, try new restaurants, and do crossword puzzles.
