Elena is a PhD candidate in Sociocultural Anthropology. Her research combines phenomenological concepts with ethnographic writing to explore human experiences in the Arctic environment. With a background in international and intercultural communication, she is well-prepared to support international and multilingual students. She has served as a TF and PTAI at Yale, contributed as a peer reviewer for academic and student journals, and is particularly interested in integrating ethnographic and creative non-fiction writing into scholarly texts. As a GWL Fellow, she is committed to helping students strengthen their academic writing and develop strategies for critically engaging with diverse textual and visual sources.
