Heidi is the Assistant Director of Engagement Technology in the Poorvu Center’s Education and Engagement Technology team. She is responsible for managing Yale Connect, the University’s online community platform for students, faculty, and staff. Heidi is particularly interested in ensuring that all members of the Yale community feel encouraged and empowered to participate in the diverse offerings of campus life. Supporting Yale Connect’s group membership, events management, messaging modules and other features, Heidi is passionate about creating a seamless user experience as students, staff, and faculty take part in all that Yale has to offer.
Before Yale, Heidi held several technology- and education-focused positions in both the non-profit and private spaces. Heidi served as a Digital Product Manager with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) where she managed the configuration and administration of Software as a Service (SaaS) products. Prior to her work at ASHA, she managed research for K-12 and higher education partners at Hanover Research. Heidi holds a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Connecticut.
Outside of work, Heidi enjoys cooking and baking for her family, walking her dogs at the local park, and settling down with a good historical fiction or mystery novel. She loves living in Connecticut, getting to the beach in the summer, and eating New Haven’s famous pizza year-round.
