Inês Forjaz de Lacerda is a McDougal Graduate Teaching Fellow at the Poorvu Center, where she designs and implements workshop materials, leads session facilitation for graduate students and postdocs, and directs social events and recruitment initiatives. She is a doctoral candidate and researcher in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, focusing on the cultural and political imaginaries of the contemporary Indian-Pacific (Mozambique, Goa, Macao, East Timor, and Japan). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Pessoa Plural, Portuguese Literary and Cultural Studies, and The Journal of Lusophone Studies. She holds a B.A. in English and Comparative Literature from Kenyon College and an M.A. in Comparative Studies from the University of Lisbon. Outside of work, Inês enjoys speed-running video games and collecting small cups from her many travels around the world.
