Ismihan is the Woodbridge Fellow in the Poorvu Center’s Office of Educational Opportunities (OEO). In this role, she coordinates the STEM Navigator program, which offers mentorship, workshops, and resources to support Yale students majoring in STEM. Ismihan is particularly interested in supporting STEM students in the FGLI (First-Generation, Low-Income) and URM community. She hopes to make STEM at Yale more accessible to students regardless of their background.
Ismihan graduated from Yale with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. While she was a student at Yale, Ismihan was committed to supporting the FGLI (First-Generation, Low-Income) community. She worked with the Office of Educational Opportunity (OEO) as a STEM Navigator and FGLI peer mentor. She was a mentor for the STARS I Program, helping URM/FGLI students navigate STEM at Yale. She was also heavily involved with Yale’s QuestBridge Chapter.
Outside work, Ismihan loves reading fantasy novels, playing video games, and exploring New Haven’s cafes.
