Kevin is a 3rd year PhD student in the Computational Biology and Biomedical Informatics (CBB) program, and a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. His research interests are broadly distributed with an abstract focus on digital psychiatry: investigating mental disorders with large language models and wearable biosensors. Before Yale, he conducted full-time post-graduate research in statistics and bioinformatics at the University of Texas at Dallas and UT Southwestern Medical Center in his hometown. He holds a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University and was pre-med in a past life. He is experienced and passionate about writing fiction and non-fiction - especially science communication.
