Headshot of Liz DeRosa, Communications Director

Liz DeRosa

Director of Communications
I work with every team at the Poorvu Center to highlight how their efforts contribute to a better world through teaching and learning.

Liz is the Director of Communications in the Poorvu Center, where she creates opportunities to enhance the visibility of the Center both within the Yale community and beyond.  In her role, Liz collaborates with each team to bring awareness to their work, and share the many ways the Center is making the world better through teaching and learning.

Before Yale, Liz served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at the American School for the Deaf where she oversaw the school’s communications and fundraising initiatives, and led the “Lost in Translation” statewide effort to improve communication access in education and healthcare for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, and DeafBlind. She graduated from Regis College with a Bachelor of Art In Communication and a minor in Management.

Outside of Yale, Liz volunteers on the Board of Hear Here Hartford, a chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
