Patricia Trainor is Associate Director of Graduate Writing Support in the Poorvu Center’s Graduate Writing Lab. In her role, Patricia develops resources and programming for Law School and Divinity School students to help them meet their writing goals. Patricia also works with GSAS students in individual writing consultations. She is passionate about helping Law and Divinity students excel at writing in their respective genres and achieve their academic and professional goals.
Before joining the Poorvu Center, Patricia was Vice President of Content at Simplify Compliance, heading up an editorial team providing employers with information on employment, safety, and environmental laws. She also has experience as an appellate court judicial clerk, law firm associate, and legal writing instructor. Patricia has a master’s degree in mass communications from San Diego State University and a law degree from the Loyola University of Chicago Law School.
Outside of work, Patricia enjoys hiking, baking, reading novels, and hanging out with her rescue dog, Skye.
