Susanna Maisto is a 5th year PhD candidate in the department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering. Her research focuses on developing novel techniques to remove toxic emerging contaminants from drinking water. She received her B.S. in chemistry from the College of William and Mary. Before starting at Yale, she spent a year as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health. She enjoys working with students on scientific writing such as prospectuses, fellowship applications, and research articles.
