William Chang

Physics

William is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Physics at Yale University. His research focuses on characterizing exoplanet orbital architectures through microlensing and astrometry. He earned a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles. As a McDougal Graduate Teaching Fellow and teaching assistant for courses in university physics and scientific computing, he is passionate about STEM pedagogy and connecting real-world research to classroom learning. He is particularly interested in developing active-learning techniques in physics classrooms and applying inductive teaching methods more broadly.
