Teaching Communities: Multi-session Programs

We have several opportunities to engage with a community of other faculty across multiple sessions, including various semester-long learning communities and a yearlong seminar on inclusive and equitable teaching. Pedagogical Partners is a unique program that pairs faculty with undergraduate partners who work with them to reflect on and refine their teaching practices in meetings throughout the semester.

A yearlong faculty seminar on evidence-based Inclusive and Equitable Teaching practices, which will bring together faculty across disciplines who are interested in beginning to explore ways to support more equitable learning outcomes and welcoming classroom environment.
Faculty learning communities convene every other week throughout the semester to reflect on teaching practices and to share effective strategies and resources.
The Poorvu Center’s Pedagogical Partners Program creates a dialogue about teaching and learning through a semester-long partnership between an undergraduate student and an instructor in Yale College in which the student acts as a pedagogical consultant in a course the instructor is teaching.
