Our faculty events series are drop-in workshops and discussions focused on a particular topic. Each of the series has a slightly different focus and format, but they all focus on Yale instructors sharing their challenges, questions, and practices with each other. These one-off events and others are meant to be responsive to the current teaching context as well as to highlight evergreen challenges in teaching.

Educational Technology Workshops
Educational Technology Workshops provide an opportunity for instructors to think about intentional uses of educational technology, particularly in support of accessible and inclusive teaching. The Educational Technology team supports and owns Canvas @ Yale as the primary Learning Management System (LMS), as well as multiple external applications to support teaching.
Teaching and Learning Discussions
Teaching and Learning Discussions are informal, interactive conversations about interdisciplinary teaching topics. Featured faculty initiate the discussion by sharing their own practices, and participants contribute with their own questions, challenges, and variations on these practices. These events count toward the Faculty Teaching Academy for new faculty.
Faculty Fellows Events
The Faculty Fellows complement the center’s existing offerings by facilitating sessions and generating resources for their colleagues related to accessibility and/or antiracist teaching. These events count toward the Faculty Teaching Academy for new faculty.
